
Poulomi Sengupta, Business Analyst, ClimateSAN
Poulomi received her International MBA in Schulich School of Business, York University, focused on Sustainability and Financial Services. Her passion for sustainability and climate risk mitigation comes from her wide-ranging experience in research, analysis, reporting in the natural resources sector, including oil & gas and mining. She received Masters degree in Geological Sciences from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.
Poulomi has worked in the BG Group plc (acquired by Shell in 2015), an oil and gas MNC, wherein her experience in a variety of inventive projects of UK, Brazil, India, and Egypt, that gave her exposure to various industry risks and plan mitigation measures.
Poulomi is also a published author. In Winter 2016, she published her first novel- The Last Bloom, which explores the impacts of digital communication and experiential learning on the present higher educational system in India. The book encourages students to focus their energies on gaining soft-skills and practical knowledge for their future careers. The novel has been well received by critics and continues to sell many copies.
